Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, the Associate is able to begin by understanding the company’s products and technology by engaging in active production support tasks to ensure stability of the platform. This job gives early-career engineers an opportunity to move through different engineering teams while gaining different experiences in the codebase and other products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in an intense rotating training program designed for engineers to be exposed to different techniques and workflows for teams.
  • Production support for the company that serves as the first responder to diagnose problems, troubleshoot, and solve issues that impact global platform stability.
  • Work with senior engineers and teams of cross-functionality to tackle complex technical issues and develop solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that focus on the technology’s operations, optimization of processes, and system reliability.
  • Show problem-solving abilities and develop technical skills to advance to a bigger role in software development within 12-18 months.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 0 to 1 years of work experience or an internship in computer science-related projects.
  • A solid knowledge of the object-oriented programming principle and knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript or TypeScript is considered to be an advantage.
  • A strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a deep interest in technology and the way systems work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in dynamic teams.
  • The ability to keep focus and calm under technical pressure and tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of the web-based development tools (e.g., Node.js, Angular).
  • Experimentation with cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with fintech or other specific products that relate to financial services is an advantage.
  • Contributions to open source projects or personal coding projects show the ability and initiative.
  • Rapid learning ability coupled with the desire to rapidly adapt to the latest techniques and practices in development.
