A Sales Intern contributes to business development efforts for security and defence solutions. He cooperates with teams from across the functional spectrum and develops efficient pipelines with meticulous research monitoring, tracking, and coordination with stakeholders. The position includes support for sales, analytics and event execution, which allows proficiency in the use of tools, processes and best practices utilised by multinational technology companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with sales support by identifying opportunities through government portals, keeping track of tenders and bids, creating customised proposals, and aiding in managing relationships for defence participants.
- Engage customers through thorough research and analysis to find and connect with relevant government agencies and industry partners from the defence sector, and establish qualified lead pipelines that are qualified.
- Conduct market research to determine trends, competitor actions, Priorities for procurement, the needs of buyers, to improve the positioning of your business and help you develop go-to-market strategies.
- Control administrative tasks for sales, such as the accuracy of CRM data, lead tracking, as well as making presentations, reports and sales documentation.
- Supporting events throughout India, coordinating participation in trade exhibitions, product demonstrations and showcases focusing on defence.
- Review sales data to assess the progress made against goals, identify growth opportunities and suggest enhancements to processes and results.
- Work with the marketing department, product management and operations to ensure alignment of messages, timelines, and deliverables to support active actions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing the degree of Business Engineering, Marketing or any related field, B.Tech/B.E. as the primary prerequisite.
- A lot of interest is being shown in the defence sector as well as sales functions within B2G or enterprise environments.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with care for specifics and stakeholder awareness.
- An analytical mindset that allows you to conduct research and transform results into useful insight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace (G Suite).
- The ability to function in a fast-paced work environment that allows you to multitask and be able to meet deadlines.
- Self-starter who can work on their own while contributing effectively to the team’s goals.
