Role Overview
A Business Analyst in the Morningstar Index team is a vital part of the team in boosting revenue and efficiency through collaboration in the execution of the company’s plan for technology. The job includes analysing data and collecting requirements, and providing actionable information to help improve the product as well as a better user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Help support an all-encompassing software development process (SDLC), which is a part of the technology platform index, from the elicitation of requirements through delivery.
- Utilise your market and investment knowledge to analyse data, identify trends, and provide information about the technology roadmaps or product advancement.
- Collaborate closely with team members of engineers, product owners and the team of leadership to determine priorities and design high-quality features.
- Discover opportunities to increase efficiency in operations and save money by studying operations.
- Create and maintain a record of KPIs and other metrics to assess what platforms’ performance as well as the product’s success.
- Create concise, clearly written reports and presentations that can be used by the stakeholders at every level of an organisation.
- Participate in agile teams to develop software to ensure smooth project execution.
- Test Users Acceptance for Support (UAT) to confirm the validity of the latest releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or any of the other streams.
- Between 0 and 2 years of experience in the field of product management, business analysis, or in an area related to it.
- Experience using SQL, Python, relational databases, as well as dashboard software such as Tableau as well as Power BI is preferred.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and the ability to plan.
- Ability to convert technical concepts into pragmatic business requirements.
- Experience with agile development environments could prove beneficial.
- Experiential or enthusiastic about investing in ETFs for indexes, stocks, and funds is a valuable asset.
- Highly focused, meticulous and skilled in the fast-paced work environment.
