Infosys Biggest Hiring Drive Announcement – Plans to Hire 20,000 Freshers in FY27
Infosys Biggest Hiring Drive Announcement: Infosys, one of India’s biggest IT service companies, is planning to recruit around 20,000 new employees for the fiscal year 2026-2027 (FY27). This announcement follows an excellent financial performance in FY26. The plan is focused on recruitment campaigns for students and young professionals from technology and engineering streams.
The initiative for fresher hire is geared towards graduates of top universities and colleges in India. It is designed to improve the pipeline of talent for areas like software development, technological advancement, digital transformation and other emerging technologies. Many engineering students and BCA/MCA graduates are looking for chances to work in the IT sector to have a stable career and competitive pay packages.
Strong Q4 FY26 Performance Boosts Confidence
During the fourth quarter’s earnings announcement for FY26, Infosys announced a healthy increase. The company earned a total net profit of ₹8,501 crore, which is an increase of 21% from Rs 7,033 crore during the Q4 of FY25. As a percentage, net profit rose by 28% over just Rs 6,654 crore in the previous quarter.
Revenue from operations amounted to the sum of Rs 46,402 crore during Q4 FY26, an increase of 13.4 percent from Rs 40,925 crore during the same time the previous year. The sequential revenue growth was 2 per cent from Rs 45,479 crore in the third quarter. Operating profit was Rs 9,743 crore. This reflects an increase in margins of about 21 percentage.
These numbers are encouraging and show the resilience of the Indian IT sector despite global problems. Infosys has maintained its operating margins within the 20-22% range, and forecast revenue growth of as high as 3.5 percent in constant currency for FY27.
Current Workforce and Attrition Trends
In March 2026, Infosys employed 3,28,594 workers, which makes it an important employer of the Indian IT industry. The workforce saw a decrease of 8,440 during Q4 FY26 due mainly to seasonal influences and adjustments to usage. The rate of voluntary attrition was 12.6 per cent for the quarter ending March. This was slightly higher than the previous quarter, but still lower than the level in the year before of 14.1 per cent.
Despite the drop in total employment, the planned new 20,000 students will signal that the government will continue to focus on creating a solid workforce for entry-level positions with large-scale campus hiring programmes.
Dividend Announcement and Future Outlook
The board of directors approved the payment of a dividend in the amount of Rs 25 per share for the quarter, which is higher than the Rs 22 per share paid in the same time frame in the prior year. For the fiscal year ending in July, Infosys expects steady growth in IT-related services that are core to the business and expanding into high-demand areas such as AI automation and digital solutions.
Opportunities for Freshers in the Indian IT Sector
This announcement of hiring creates huge job opportunities for engineering students, as well as IT professionals and students aspiring to be on campus all over India. Candidates who are preparing for Infosys interviews can expect to take tests that test aptitude, logical reasoning, communication skills, and technical interviews that will focus on databases, programming and the fundamentals of software engineering.
Similar massive fresher hiring campaigns from top IT companies like TCS, Wipro, and Accenture are often the mainstay of campus hiring seasons in India. Candidates looking for high-paying job opportunities in IT, such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, and other tech hubs, could benefit from starting early to prepare to take advantage of such opportunities.
Infosys Biggest Hiring Drive Announcement
Candidates should be up-to-date with the official career portals to learn about deadlines for applications, eligibility requirements (typically 60-70% of aggregates in academics) and selection procedures. Solid foundations of computer science, together with a solid understanding of Java, Python, SQL or cloud platforms, will increase the chances of being selected as a highly competitive IT new recruit.
This is a sign of optimism in the Indian IT services industry, which continues to be a major factor in creating jobs for millions of aspiring professionals each year.
