Role and Responsibilities

As an intern for a Software Engineer, the focus is on managing the entire development lifecycle of software changes from development to deployment, as well as ensuring high availability and security, reliability, and performance for cloud computing infrastructure. The job requires working within a small, agile team with a deep technical understanding and substantial business impact. Principal responsibilities include:

• Controlling changes to code from end-to-end that include review of code, development as well as testing and deployment.
• Utilising open-source tools to monitor, alert and debug production service to ensure optimal performance.
• Participating in rotations on-call to ensure that the service is available 24/7 and the reliable.
• Involving in architecture discussions that shape the future of cloud-based services and provide top-of-the-line experiences for developers.
• Staying updated with the latest cloud technologies, such as VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, and Akamai, to drive innovation.
• Offering exceptional support to the end-user by working with teams from development to optimise the build process and meet their requirements.

This position requires excellent abilities to communicate, both in writing and written, to work effectively with team members from around the world across various time zones. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial to being successful in this ever-changing work environment.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in the Software Engineer Intern job, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: The student has recently graduated with a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or other relevant fields 
• Technical Skills:
  • A strong coding skill with one or two programming languages, including Golang, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Superior problem-solving abilities and analytical ability to deal with technical issues.
• Communication: Capability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members in a global environment.
