Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Business Analyst Developer for BI, you will be a key player in delivering real-time insights via advanced analytics and reporting. The responsibilities you will have include:
- Lead Report Delivery: Enhance and improve existing reports to accommodate changing requirements of business, while ensuring prompt and precise delivery.
- Management of Query: Oversee the day-to-day control operations and manage queries with tools such as ServiceNow to drive improvements and assist with new developments.
- Visual Dashboards: Create visually appealing reports such as dashboards, dashboards and metric scorecards by using Qlik Power BI, Qlik Tableau and other tools for BI.
- Transform and store data: Transform, import and analyse data for reporting purposes, and build tools such as OLAP cubes that effectively manage and store data.
- Database Development: create and execute complex database queries with SQL to get meaningful information out of database systems that manage relational data (RDBMS) like MS SQL Server or Oracle.
- Unit testing and documentation: Conduct extensive unit testing as well as troubleshooting issues. Keep detailed technical documentation in order to ensure that the deliverables are of high quality.
- Driving innovation: Collaboration with teams of cross-functionality to implement data integration using ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes, which ensures the seamless flow of data from different sources.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this position to be successful, you must have all the required qualifications, as well as expertise:
- Education: Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, computing science, computer science or engineering. A Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or an equivalent postgraduate degree is recommended.
- Technical Expertise:
- Expertise in maintenance of reports and development, query management and deployment with Qlik and other BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- A high level of proficiency in front-end development and a thorough understanding of the best practices in visualisation.
- Expertise in the design of databases and advanced SQL abilities that are based on hands-on experience with RDBMS, such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience with data integration using ETL processes, as well as a sharp analytical mind.
- Soft skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to work effectively with stakeholders as well as cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience: A good working knowledge of ServiceNow to manage queries and experience in providing effective BI solutions.
