Role Overview

As a Technical Associate – Service Desk L1, you must maintain system, application, and infrastructure availability and performance. You will have an opportunity to work in a team setting, and by applying ITIL principles, you will be responsible for provisioning and de-provisioning of applications, managing Active Directory accounts, and providing excellent technical support.   • Active Directory Management: Manage the creation, deletion, and maintenance of user accounts and security groups in various domains within an Active Directory, i.e., upholding the structure of an organisation.
  • Email Account Administration: Manage Office 365 email accounts, fix synchronization problems between the Active Directory and these email systems, and guarantee convenient accessibility on the part of users.
  • Group Policy and Standards: Practising and administering Active Directory standards consist of designing policies, naming objects, and object creation to achieve a secure and organised IT environment.
  • Documentation Development: Provide self-help documentation and checklists that will ensure the service desk staff can resolve the trouble easily.
  • Reporting: Create and extract the reports with the help of Active Directory and such tools as ServiceNow or Salesforce to provide the information to the operation and make relevant decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Any bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous IT service desk type of work, or technical support experience.
  • Be aware of the following technical skills:
    • Basic Networking: Knowledge of the basics of networks to resolve connectivity problems.
    • Active Directory: Practical use of user accounts, security groups, and group policy organization.
    • Service Request Management: Ability to work with service requests on a platform such as ServiceNow or Salesforce.
    • Office 365 Tools: The understanding of O365 administration including the management and troubleshooting of email accounts.
    • PC/Laptop Support: Previous experience in troubleshooting hardware and software pieces on PCs and laptops.
  • Team spirit with individual performance capability to work in a hectic environment.
  • Good problem-solving behaviour and an active attitude towards acquiring new technologies.
