Role Overview
The Service Desk role involves delivering the highest level of IT support to the end-users. The candidates selected will be responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware issues, as well as ticket management and ensuring that IT operations run smoothly for customers. This job requires exceptional communication skills and a discerning approach in a high-speed working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact point to address IT-related issues and queries.
- Track, log and then resolve Service Desk tickets within defined deadlines
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Send complex issues to specialised teams as needed
- Update and create knowledge base articles to speed up problem resolution
- Offer high-quality technical support throughout various shifts
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduation in full-time, 3-year terms at 2025 and 2026 recognised institutions.
- Minimum marks of 50% for 10th, 12th, as well as Graduation (no rounding lower than 50 per cent)
- There was no active backlog or outstanding arrears at the time of joining.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities
- Ability to work in rotational shifts at Cognizant offices
- Open to Indian citizens and OCIs living in India
