- Shift: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
The Payroll Data Maintenance Associate Analyst is responsible for managing payroll processes, assuring accuracy in the employee’s records including onboarding, separation and other transactions, and handling payroll inquiries. The position combines financial expertise along with the accuracy of data maintenance to assist the payroll process at Deloitte.
Key Responsibilities
- Change the date of onboarding for employees on The Payroll Dashboard.
- Maintain and update the life-cycle information, including transfers, promotions, salary adjustments and separations.
- Processing of payroll support and annual compensation load, as well as headcount reconciliations.
- Review and coordinate onboarding activities. The data provided by HR is used to ensure exactness and compliance.
- Take care of separations, continuations of salary transfer, and the final calculation of settlements for departing employees.
- Pay outstanding debts relating to reimbursements or loans from employees who have been separated.
- Offer assistance to both HR personnel and their employees by responding to questions related to payroll.
- Pay attention to the payroll compliance guidelines in order to ensure that you adhere to the guidelines, such as those related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Work in collaboration with HR operation teams, General Ledger accounting staff and payroll/FTP teams on payroll support tasks that are scheduled.
- Find out if there are any inconsistencies or exceptions within HR-submitted data, and ensure accuracy in arithmetic.
- Meet strict deadlines for calculating the Final and Full Settlements for employees who have been separated.
Skills and Competencies
The job requires someone who is focused on details, analytical abilities, and the ability to adjust to a fast-paced working environment. The most important skills are:
- Competency proficiency in Microsoft Excel (from basic to advanced functions).
- Experience with the SAP HR system and accounting software, along with payroll and accounting processes.
- Knowledge of financial operations, policies and internal controls.
- The highest ethical standards and the commitment to the privacy of data.
- Effective communication skills in teams.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills to handle multiple payroll data tasks.
- An emphasis on accuracy in processing payroll information with the least amount of errors.
A good typing ability is also essential. The applicant must possess:
- Typing speeds between 45-50 words per minute (WPM).
- Data entry capabilities of 7,700 keystrokes/hour (KSPH), which is less than 5% of errors.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degrees in any field, but preferably one that is in finance or Business Administration.
- Between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience in the field of payroll process, data, and financial reports.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience or prior knowledge of payroll-processing software, such as SAP HR, is a further benefit.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written abilities.
