Roles and Responsibilities
As an engineer for Site Reliability at ZETA, you will:
- Monitor the Stability of the System: Use internal tools to continuously examine the performance and health of ZETA’s solutions, ensuring seamless operation.
- Make sure you are in SLA Conformity: Ensure that production servers are maintained in order to comply with stringent responses to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provide the best user experience.
- Scale Infrastructure Plan and implement scale strategies in production settings in order to manage the fluctuating demand levels effectively.
- Incident Response and Troubleshooting: React to emergencies, solve problems, and make fixes for a variety of offerings and services with a sense of urgency.
- Manage Escalations Implement established guidelines and policies to handle escalations, and coordinate with both teams to solve important production problems.
- Effective communication: Provide precise and concise updates via phones and tickets, making sure that all parties are kept informed of the progress of resolution to issues.
- Meets Operational Standard: Maintain SLAs along with operational and benchmark standards in order to ensure the highest-quality service delivery.
- Work with other HTML0 users with HTML0 on Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Collaborate with engineers in identifying reasons for issues and developing permanent solutions to avoid repetition.
- Raise and track issues: Track issues and log regular issues, keep track of alerts and follow up on issues that have escalated to ensure prompt resolution.
- Contribute to the Documentation: Contribute to the maintenance and improve your Operations Handbook to streamline processes and increase team efficiency.
- Participate in the On-Call rotation and share the responsibility for system reliability with a planned on-call schedule.
