About the Role
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll be a part of a vibrant team dedicated to developing and implementing internal applications that help streamline Tesla’s energy product process. Solar panels, energy storage and more, your work will allow our teams to monitor the process, standardise, automate and optimise each step of an energy installation project from the beginning to the end. Your team will be cross-functional, comprising Design, Product, Design, and Business stakeholders, to create intuitive, scalable, and scalable solutions to support Tesla’s present and upcoming products.
This full-time job is based in Mumbai, India, and provides a unique opportunity to be a part of the platform’s evolution in line in tandem with Tesla’s rapid expansion. You’ll have the responsibility of the development of features, from concept through production, and ensure the highest levels of code quality, performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Development and Design: Develop and maintain solid software and applications within the scope of the team that ensure scalability and high performance for Tesla’s vehicle and energy products.
- Write high-quality code: Create clean, reliable and well-tested code to add new features and fix issues, while adhering to the best guidelines.
- Testing and QA: Test HTML0 and QA: Create integration and unit tests, working in conjunction with QA groups to guarantee that they are able to conduct timely regression testing for the new features.
- Monitor and troubleshoot: Monitor the system’s live metrics and respond to alerts, and fix problems with production to ensure stability.
- Technical Enhancements: Examine the existing functions of the system, suggest improvements and implement solutions that increase the scalability, maintainability and accessibility.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate and communicate with Product, Design, and Business teams to design and prioritise features while keeping the stakeholders informed about the latest updates to the project, dependencies, and blocking factors.
- Take control of the development lifecycle: Start by taking elements and projects from conception until development is completed, then testing and then release into production.
- Document and innovate: Document new applications and technologies and help build a database of knowledge that can help the efficiency of your team.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Software Engineer with a solid technical background and a desire to build user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work knowledge.
- Deep Web Technology Knowledge: Expertise with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/ES6, manipulation of DOM, along with the JavaScript object model, along with an excellent knowledge of HTTP REST AJAX, as well as JSON.
- Database Knowledge: Knowledge of SQL database concepts, which includes the ability to query databases and update them effectively.
- RESTful API Proficiency: Complete knowledge of the REST principles and best practices for developing and using RESTful APIs.
- Angular Expertise: A thorough understanding of the fundamental design principles and the most common design patterns used in Angular.
- Tools Experience: Practical experience using front-end development tools, like Vite, NPM, Yarn or similar.
- GraphQL Benefit: Experience using GraphQL is an advantage and will make you stand out.
- A positive mentality, able to resolve complex problems as well as propose new solutions, and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
