About the Company

PAC Panasonic Avionics opened its dedicated software development and design hub in Pune to help speed up the high-quality delivery of the in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) platform. The Pune location provides highly skilled engineers an ideal setting to learn, grow and impact in a rapidly growing aerospace and IT market.

Position Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer (MTS I), you’ll be part of an agile and collaborative team that is responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated internal applications. The tools are used to support operational operations along with application performance and streamline workflow automation for PAC’s worldwide in-flight solutions. The job combines front-end and back-end development using an on-site full-time hybrid system that allows direct involvement in each stage of the product’s engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and improve web-based applications that are focused on performance, scalable and have a strong architecture.
• Develop and implement efficient reusable React components that can be reused to improve user interfaces.
• Expand back-end frameworks with SQL and data modelling, as well as Linux shell scripting, to improve the reliability of your application.
• Develop and maintain unit testing and ensure a solid test coverage in CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance the existing frameworks for software. Tune, refactor and debug the code for greater efficiency and resiliency.
• Technical specifications and requirements for documents using engineering tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Participate in Scrum/Agile-based ceremonies and collaborate with teams across functional lines on the delivery of sprints.
• Solve complex technical problems with an eye for detail and creative problem-solving abilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experienced in creating front-end interfaces with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• A high level of proficiency using a modern front-end framework, such as React or Angular, is preferred.
• The ability to write advanced SQL queries and create tables for relational databases.
• Experience working with Linux shell scripting to automate and provide application assistance.
• Experience with Agile methods, especially Scrum, for the delivery of software in an iterative fashion.
• A solid ability to troubleshoot and is ready to address technical problems that require a lot of effort.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degrees in Bachelor’s level Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, or another related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Experienced in coding with TypeScript and React for enterprise-scale web-based applications.
• Practical practice using at least one relational database system.
• Skills in technical documentation in software, and by using Jira or Confluence.
• Team player mentality, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a desire to invent.
