NTT DATA Off Campus Drive – Associate Software Development Engineer Role

NTT DATA Off Campus Drive: Start your career as an associate engineer in software development located within Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and participate in real-world projects, as well as new technologies within a multi-disciplinary environment. This position is designed for professionals at the entry-level with a solid foundation in programming and an interest in mastering cloud technologies, automation, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Join in the development and design of solutions that follow clear guidelines that will help you grow your business.
• Assist in writing, editing, testing and evaluating the codes of modern applications and services.
• Automated execution of testing increases the quality of the software that is delivered.
• Participate with various stakeholders in order to participate in the software releases and deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with teams involved in the development process to ensure quality parts for software.
• Offer automation and assistance to facilitate the integration of third-party software applications. Integration into third-party applications.
• Take part in development, design and scale.
• The documentation of the program’s operational procedures, along with user-specific information.
• Participate in the review and refactoring of code under the guidance of experienced developers.
• Perform various tasks in the area of digital development, based on the tasks given.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of the cloud infrastructure as well as the products (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365).
• Experience or learning abilities in programming languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js libraries and frameworks.
• Know-how in algorithmic algorithms, data structures, and general software design. Solid analytical and debugging capabilities.
• Knowledge or experience in microservices and their architecture, including developing APIs and designing products.
• Experimentation using both SQL and NoSQL methods (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Basic understanding of runtimes for containers (Kubernetes, Docker, LXC/LXD).
• An experience in agile methodologies and lean practices, and a belief that testing is a powerful tool.
• Self-driven, proactive mindset, paying close attention to details.
• Ability to collaborate in diverse groups and excel in a dynamic environment, and be active.
• Understanding of pipelines to CI/CD cloud-based infrastructures, cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Flexible and collaborative with a positive attitude.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or other related agile certifications are considered to be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in working with teams distributed across the globe, both in the innovation and production phases.
• An understanding of the tools utilised throughout the entire lifecycle of software delivery, including IDEs, source controls and testing, CI monitoring, tracking, mocking, as well as defect control.
• Participation in Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, or analytics/data-driven development.
• A thorough understanding of the basics of AI/ML algorithms and the capability to work with large databases that are large is vital.
• Experiential experience in the creation of microservices, as well as RESTful APIs.
• Expertise and demonstrated professional or academic expertise in the development of software at the beginning.
