Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Create, design and maintain a backend component making use of Core Java and Spring Boot.

• Utilise CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration, automated deployments, and efficient release cycles.
• Optimise the structure of your database, including databases, queries, and stored procedures, using SQL to enhance the performance of your system.
• Collaborate with the product and testing teams to ensure high-quality, end-to-end, as well as seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and analyse root causes, and then implement solutions without requiring any downtime.
• Make use of the best methods for code to control version control and help with documentation and technical issues.

Skills and Technical Expertise

• A thorough understanding of Core Java concepts, including multithreading, exception handling and the framework for collections.
• Experience using the Spring Boot framework and experience in the development of robust RESTful services.
• Experience with containers and microservices.
• Experience using CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms for controlling deployment and versioning automation.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, Engineering, or any related field.
• Relevant certifications for Java production, Spring Boot, or cloud computing may be helpful.
