Role

  • Job: Support Engineer I
  • Location: Bengaluru, India (Hybrid)
  • Time Schedule: 5 days per week (including Saturdays).

Essential Responsibilities

As an Engineer Support I, your primary goal is to provide excellent customer service throughout their experience with the platform for product analytics. It is a responsibility to:

  • Learning the platform and guiding customers to utilize reports APIs, features, and SDKs successfully.
  • Sharing best practices to improve customer workflows and to resolve problems with accounts quickly.
  • Responding to customer queries through different channels, such as emails (via Zendesk), Slack chat, and phone.
  • Documenting and investigating bugs or feature requests as well as technical issues to communicate with engineers and product teams.
  • Working with engineers, product managers and designers to integrate feedback from customers into improvements to products.
  • Provides actionable information to improve the internal processes for support, product capabilities and education for customers.
  • Coaching new team members to help create a culture that encourages learning and sharing.
  • Learning technical skills in the areas of product analytics, debugging and the latest technologies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has an amalgamation of technical expertise, as well as customer-focused, and the ability to think on their feet. The qualifications required include:

  • Experience in the customer-facing SaaS support jobs, like customer support, professional service and technical management of accounts.
  • Ability to communicate complicated technical concepts in a clear, short, simple, and friendly written language.
  • Expertly developed problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to solve customer problems efficiently.
  • Experience in programming with a knowledge of mobile and web technologies and APIs.
  • Experience in resolving and debugging difficult technical issues, especially using JavaScript, Python, or mobile technology.
  • Resilience and perseverance when it comes to navigating uncertainty or taking on new problems.
  • The commitment to mastering an evolving, complex product and being up to date on the latest capabilities.
  • A desire to improve technical knowledge and master new techniques.
  • Expertise in providing SLA-based assistance or specialized assistance to customers who are strategic.
  • The ability to work 5 days per week, with Saturdays included.
