Key Responsibilities
An experienced Product Designer at Lumel helps in the development of new software products that improve user experience and performance. The candidates who are selected will:
- Create matrix and grid visualisations by using Canvas inside React applications.
- Create dynamic and responsive interfaces by using React.js
- Integrate APIs and manage the flow of data with the Redux API and other RESTful services
- Work on teams to ensure consistency of user interfaces
- Conduct code reviews, debugging and unit testing
- Utilise the fundamental UX principles while creating layouts for your applications.
This job teaches the development of products, their design and scalable architectural concepts, which prepares applicants for a successful career in the field of product engineering.
Required Skills
Lumel is looking for candidates who demonstrate a thorough knowledge of front-end development and problem-solving. The most important and desirable skills are:
- Proficiency in React.js (mandatory)
- Working with Redux as well as REST API concepts
- A solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with visualisation frameworks and libraries like Vue.js (added benefit)
- Experience with hands-on IDEs like WebStorm as well as VS Code
- Experienced the using Git and GitHub to manage version control
- Basic understanding of test case execution and debugging
- Innovative thinking and an interest in UX design fundamentals
Students with college or personal projects that showcase React grids or matrix visualisations will have an advantage during the selection process.
