During the course of your internship, you will be involved with designing, planning and building international end-to-end networks as part of the IP and Transport teams. You’ll partner closely with the cross-functional teams to enable seamless global roaming and to support strategic network deployment initiatives. This is a highly operational position that offers direct experience with network performance analysis, troubleshooting and technical validation in an environment that will help to shape a successful career in telecommunications engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design and Planning: Design and engineer end-to-end networks to support international capacity requirements.
- Working with Product Teams: Work with device and product teams to specify needs for 4G, 3G and 2G roaming.
- Validating Technical Requirements: Validate technical requirements such as authentication, authorization, accounting, billing, provisioning and performance management to guarantee trouble-free global roaming.
- Proposal Creation: Help to create technical proposals for new networks, upgrades and investments that include business units input in strategic decisions and budgeting.
- Service provider evaluation: Perform service provider validation of capabilities in terms of performance, reach and quality.
- Performance Analysis: Perform deep dive network, performance and route analysis to tune connectivity and user experience.
- Diagnosis and Optimization: Troubleshoot network problems and recommend operational efficiencies to improve network performance and reliability.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Electronics, Telecom, CS, or Equivalent) from a recognized Institute.
- Experience: (0 years of experience) or fresher. Preferred candidates with internships or academic work in network engineering.
