Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerk 2025

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years

Educational Qualification (as on 21.08.2025)

Computer Literacy

Credit History

  • Requirement: Credit history that is healthy with an acceptable credit score.
  • Condition: The candidates must present no objection Certificates (NOCs) by lenders in the event that CIBIL status is not up-to-date. Negative credit reports could result in the cancellation of the contract.

How to Apply

  1. Go to www.ibps.in, then click “CRP Clerical Cadre” – “Apply Online for CRP-CSA-XV”.
  2. Simply click “New Registration” and then fill in the basic information to create the provisional registration number as well as a Password.
  3. Upload the required documents (photo or thumb impression, signature, written declarations, 10th certificates, etc. ).
  4. Fill out the application. Review the application using “Save & Next” and then choose the state that will be allocated a provisional allocation (final selection).
  5. Optionally, connect DigiLocker to Aadhaar and other educational documents.
  6. Make payment online using debit or credit card, UPI or online banking.
  7. Send in the application (no modifications allowed after your submission).

Preliminary Exam

  • Mode: Online, objective-type
  • Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks, 60 Minutes

Mains Exam

  • Mode: Online, objective-type
  • Total: 155 Questions, 200 Marks, 120 Minutes
  • Changes: The number of questions was reduced from 190 Questions to 160 minutes in the previous years.

Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

  • Examines: the capacity to write, read or speak in the language of the State/UT being tested.
  • Exemption: Candidates who have a 10th grade or more certification in the local language.
  • Post-Mains interviews, before final joining.
  • Failure to pass LLPT can result in the end of your selection.

Changes Introduced in IBPS Clerk 2025

  1. Post Name Changed: “Clerk” renamed to Customer Service Associate (CSA).
  2. The Pay Scale is Detailed Basic Pay: Rs. 24,050 to Rs. 64,480 based on regular increments.
  3. Revision of Mains Exam Format: The exam has been reduced to 150 Questions (from 191) as well as 120 minutes (from 160 minutes).
  4. Obligatory LLPT: Proficiency in the local language must be demonstrated unless exempted.
  5. DigiLocker Integration: Automatically fetch Aadhaar as well as academic certifications.
  6. Edit Window: Separate period for correcting application errors.
