Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer in Software at ISDL,thee job entails:
- Design and Development of Products: Develop, design, test, and develop IBM Systems products, including Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software as well as Cloud Software, while collaborating with the global development and management teams.
- Requirement analysis: Analyse the requirements of the product to determine the most effective design strategies and ensure that solutions are in line with the requirements of the customer, along with industry standards.
- Final Development: Implement, code and verify solutions throughout the entire development process to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Validation and Service: Contribute to product validation and support to ensure stable performance and satisfaction of users.
- Collaboration: Work in teams that are diverse and driven by culture to create world-class applications and deployment environments that deliver extraordinary user experiences.
- Innovation: Expand the boundaries of by exploring new technologies, conceiving innovative solutions and tackling the most difficult issues within Systems Software techniques.

Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area.
- Technical Expertise:
- Expertise in programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, or similar.
- A working knowledge of Systems Software development, including Operating Systems, Firmware, or Storage Software.
- A working knowledge of Cloud Software technologies and hybrid multicloud environments is an advantage.
- An understanding of the lifecycle of software development (SDLC) procedures, which include designing, coding, testing and support.
- Professional Skills:
- A strong analytical and problem-solving ability to tackle complex technical issues.
- Effective collaboration across functional teams from different geographies.
- Excellent communication skills that allow you to communicate with teams of developers, Product management, development teams, and the end-users.
- An enthusiasm for innovation and the drive to discover new frontiers in the field of technology.
