Hitachi Hiring 2025: The Power Plus Trainee Program at Hitachi Energy offers an exceptional chance for new graduates to start a successful career at one of the world’s most renowned energy and technology firms. The full-time, 18-month rotating program enables young professionals to investigate different business areas and gain a variety of experiences and become experts and engineers with international exposure.

About the Power+ Graduate Rotational Program
The India Power+ Graduate Rotational Program is designed to help nurture future leaders in the energy industry through an organised learning experience that combines hands-on experiences as well as mentorship, and the development of skills. Starting in September 2024, the program is designed to attract enthusiastic and curious students to be part of the dynamic energy industry with Hitachi Energy.
In this course, participants adopt an “explorer” approach, allowing them to chart their own career paths over three rounds, which last six months each. The three rotations span various departments and functional areas within the organisation, giving an exclusive perspective on the actual issues and the latest innovations that fuel industries and communities.
Each course offers exciting opportunities to use cutting-edge technologies, join international teams, and take on challenging tasks. The graduates also receive instruction in leadership and career development, product understanding and technical fields that enable them to take important roles in the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in a full-time, 18-month rotational trip across Hitachi Energy’s business divisions in India.
- Three rotational assignments must be completed. Each assignment lasts for six months, allowing you to experience different tasks and roles.
- Engage in operational, technical and commercial tasks to learn about the various aspects of the energy industry.
- Engage in strategic and meaningful assignments that directly support critical corporate projects.
- Be prepared to relocate and travel to various locations across India to take part in education through rotation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and share ideas that improve safety, creativity, as well as operational effectiveness.
- Create professional relationships and build networks across departments to better understand the values and culture of your organisation.
- Be accountable, safe and honest in each job while working with colleagues to achieve business goals.

Candidate Background and Eligibility
- Recent graduates of the last two years can apply.
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subject is highly recommended but not required.
- A lot of interest is shown in digitalisation, energy systems and engineering innovations.
- Willingness to move across India for the duration of the rotational assignments.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to express concepts clearly in spoken and written English.
- The evidence of leadership potential, initiative, and the desire to discover.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
- Effective collaboration involves being able to work together, accept challenges, and be able to adapt to new ideas and techniques.
