Key Responsibilities

  • Examine and solve Level 1 incidents affecting Linux infrastructure using precision and speed.
  • Utilise common diagnostic tools to identify and pinpoint technical issues that arise in complicated environments.
  • Serve as the primary link between vendors, end-users and technical teams from across the board to facilitate the resolution of problems.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of the intricate network system integrations in order to guarantee seamless connectivity.
  • Use your expertise in network infrastructures to think about, plan, build, test, implement and optimise your solutions.
  • Engineering storage area solutions for minor projects as well as ongoing operational needs.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement new techniques for automated administration tasks of the system to increase efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotations at weekends to ensure all-hours mission-critical operation.
  • Perform Linux system patching with Ansible Tower or Spacewalk to ensure security and conformity.
  • Support production and provide Linux assistance to projects on the basis of needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive document and process workflows to ensure that knowledge is maintained and efficiency are maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Skills for communication to convey concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities to solve difficult infrastructure issues.
  • Practical experience in monitoring and reporting, management, as well as optimisation software for Linux systems.
  • An enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to staying abreast of the latest technologies.
  • Experience with automation instruments to simplify routine administrative tasks.
  • Expertise in the design and deployment of high-availability, disaster recovery structures.

Education

Bachelor’s in Information Technology or equivalent experience
