Job Overview

As an Associate Technical Engineer, you shall serve as the initial support contact for Finastra’s clients. You will resolve technical issues with software malfunctioning at a client’s site and assist in optimizing our solutions to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction. Depending on the need, you may participate in software testing, documentation, or other client engagements.

Finastra Careers 2025: Responsibility

  • Answer clients emails, support tickets and any issues that are raised
  • Grasp the technical challenges and reproduce them in Finastra’s systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions technically
  • Inform customers about the progress of issues and ensure they are satisfied with solutions provided
  • Attend clients’ meetings and participate in remote sessions for resolution of issues
  • Test defects reported and validate software defects after changes have been made
  • Prepare scripts using writer’s guides from senior staff and prepare some technical documents under guidance of other superiors.
  • Resolve common problems first before escalating to team leads or managers complex matters.

Finastra Careers 2025: Important Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field​ 
  • Skilled at C/C++, with debugging skills​ 
  • Basic understanding of SQL, Java or C#​ 
  • Knowledgeable on Windows Operating systems as well as Linux and Solaris. 
  • Nice to have CORBA (Orbix), JMS (ActiveMQ), Tomcat​
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication​
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail accompanied by a strong focus on the customer’s needs
