The GenC Program is designed to develop the technical abilities, project understanding and problem-solving skills for fresh engineering graduates. Candidates selected will play an important role in developing, maintaining the development, testing, and deploying code across various platforms of technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Know the business requirements and establish the functional requirements prior to beginning development work.
  • Create technical inputs, document them and design solutions that meet client demands.
  • Participate in the coding process as well as debugging and testing application components to create top-quality solutions.
  • Work with teams of project managers using an Agile approach to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
  • Create low-level designs for specific modules, and make sure that the code is integrated effectively.
  • Create data requirements analysis, test scenarios and carry out verification processes.
  • Recognise potential problems during stages of development and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Maximise the number of deliverables you can accomplish by prioritising tasks and adhering to deadlines.
  • Actively manage the modules you have been assigned and ensure that the project is executed smoothly.
  • Participate in technical sessions as well as team meetings to ensure alignment with the project’s goals.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in technology and continue to improve your technical knowledge by continuing education and certifications.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to the 2025 batch B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech graduates.
  • Engineering fields such as Leather Technology, Food Technology, and Fashion Technology are not eligible.
  • Candidates must score at a minimum of 60 percent in the X, XII, Diploma, the UG and PG levels without rounding (59.9 per cent is not accepted).
  • Minimum 60% of the total in the degree that is being pursued is required at the time of joining, and there must be no backlogs in active status.
  • CGPA to percentage conversions will be in line with the guidelines of the university.
  • Candidates who are in arrears at the moment are not qualified.
  • It is essential to be able to work from any office in Cognizant at any time, regardless of time frame or stream of technology.
  • The offer is only open to Indian citizens or OCIs living in India.
