What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer Intern at Bangalore, you’ll take part in innovative projects in networking protocols, Application Software as well as Embedded as well and Systems Development, contributing to Cisco’s goal of empowering digital enterprises. Your job will include:
- Designing and developing software: Build and enhance tools, applications and platforms that let technology be available across all devices, from mobile to cloud, as well as embedded platforms.
- Problem-solving and Debugging: Discover and fix problems within software programs, assuring solid performance and scaling.
- Innovative for the future: Create solutions that alter the way that people live, work as well and play using Cisco’s experience in security, networking and software.

Software Engineer – Networking Protocols
- Create and test software to work with routers, switches, as well as network infrastructure.
- Implement TCP/IP basics, including routing, switching and switching concepts to develop optimal solutions.
- Utilise tools and methods to investigate security and performance of your network (e.g., Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, IPsec, TLS).

Software Engineer – Application Software

Software Engineer – Embedded and Systems Development

- Utilise tools for debugging at the system level to ensure smooth operation.

- Educational Background: Presently pursuing a diploma (any field) with a 2025 or 2026 graduation date. There are no outstanding backlogs or arrears at the date of enrollment.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of the basic concepts of computer science and the principles of software engineering.
- Experience in programming and scripting languages such as Python.
- A working knowledge of TCP/IP and routing, switching and networking troubleshooting (for the networking role).
- A working knowledge of object-oriented programming as well as cloud scaling (for roles in applications).
- Experience in system-level programming, operating systems or driver (for embedded functions).
