Capgemini Biggest Hiring Drive – Capgemini Exceller AgentifAI Buildathon 2026 – GenAI & Agentic AI Competition for Students
Capgemini Biggest Hiring Drive: Capgemini has revealed that it will host the Exceller AgentifAI Buildathon 2026, which is a major national contest focusing on Generative AI and Agentic AI. The initiative is a collaboration between academia and industry that invites gifted engineering students from the 2026 and 2027 graduation batches to create new and innovative actual-world AI solutions.
The competition offers a unique opportunity for students to address industry-related issues using the most cutting-edge GenAI as well as Agentic AI technologies. Teams will be able to work on practical issues, receive advice from industry experts and present their solutions in person before Capgemini experts and management.

- 1st Runner-up: INR 2,50,000

- 7 Finalist Teams: INR 1,75,000 (shared)
- 60 Side Quest Winners: INR 1,80,000 (distributed)

Important Dates
- Registration Window: 20th March 2026 to 31st March 2026
- Pre-Qualification Round: 31st March – the third day of April, 2026 (on-campus team challenge)
- Round 1: Elevator Pitch: The preparation period is from 10th April. Evaluation 11th-17th April 2026
- Round 2: Deep Dive Technical Solutioning The preparation period is from 7th May to and evaluation until the 16th May 2026
- Third Round – Finale The deadline is May 31, 2026 (In-person presentation)
Eligibility Criteria
This competition is exclusive and only open to students from the 2026 and 2027 graduation batches of select colleges in India that have a continuous partnership with Capgemini. Participation is strictly through official invitation. Students must sign up using the official Superset platform link provided by their school or Capgemini. Registrations that are not official are not accepted.
Competition Structure
Pre-Qualification Round: A team-based competition that is held by each college participant to select the top teams.
Round 1: The pitch is called Elevator. Virtual round – Teams provide an overview of the problems, solutions and the innovation potential.
Round 2: Deep Dive Virtual round – In-depth technical architecture, LLM workflows, agentic design, prototype/demo and the implementation roadmap. Each group or college that is shortlisted will receive an individual mentor who will guide the alignment of use cases.
Round 3: The Leadership Round Final presentation in-person before Capgemini senior executives as well as industry professionals.
Part Quests Mini-challenges that are engaging and fun throughout the day, including challenges, quizzes and interactive forms. Points earned through Side Quests add towards the leaderboard overall and also provide prizes in addition to the ones offered.
How to Participate
- The students who qualify will be issued an official invitation via an online registration form.
- One team member is registered as a Captain in the Superset platform and then creates five members from the same university.
- Each member has to complete their own verification in order to complete the team’s registration.
Only verified and fully completed teams up to 31 March 2026 will be taken into consideration.
This Buildathon gives students the chance to experience hands-on working with GenAI or Agentic AI, as well as work on real-world problems in the industry, interact with technology experts and make a mark in their professional and academic journey.
Students of colleges with eligibility must wait for an invitation to register from their placement phone or Capgemini and sign up within the timeframe given.
