About the Role

The position of Graduate Trainee focuses on testing, automation and data simulation tasks in the cloud engineering system. The candidate selected will be responsible for designing, running as well and conducting automated and manual testing for microservices. This job combines technical problem-solving with precise execution and provides an array of learning opportunities within real-world cloud-based operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing of microservices to verify the reliability of the service and quality.
• Simulate data to verify the performance of cloud systems and their ability to scale.
• Develop tools and utilities that make cloud testing easier.
• Automate test scenarios using Python and other relevant frameworks to test cloud-based applications.
• Find, document and then report any inconsistencies or bugs by using standard defect tracking software.
• Effectively collaborate with software developers to assist in issue identification and resolution.
• Be a part of test plan-of-the-day meetings, discussions on strategy, and daily scrum meetings.
• Conduct regression and smoke testing before releasing production versions.
• Work with global teams on technical discussions and process validation of features.
• Keep accurate and precise documentation to document testing procedures and results.

This Graduate Trainee can participate in agile work processes. Report developments in daily stand-ups and gain knowledge about the most advanced cloud testing techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Solid understanding of software development and testing cycles.
• Expertise in the fundamentals of programming with an emphasis on problem-solving.
• A solid understanding of database concepts as well as the relational structure of data.
• An analytical and sharp mind, with an intense concentration on the smallest of details.
• Effective documenting and communication abilities.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degrees with a focus on Computer Science, Information Technology or other related areas.
• The year of graduation is 2024 or 2025.
• Academic performance must be at least a CGPA of 8.5 or above.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms or cloud computing concepts.
• Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira.
• Experiential experience in API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Experiences in agile environments and team collaboration are distributed.
• A desire to implement testing tools and automation pipelines for cloud-based services.
