Qualifications and Required Skills – Analog Devices & Nokia Hiring 2024
  • M Tech , Software Engineering, or equivalent with a CGPA of 7.5 or above
  • B Tech in ECE with a CGPA of 8.5 or above
  • Strong academic background in Signal Processing algorithms and MATLAB simulations
  • Proficiency in C programming is essential
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems and RTOS concepts is preferred
  • Knowledge or interest in machine learning is an advantage
Responsibilities – Analog Devices & Nokia Hiring 2024
  • Develop and test embedded firmware for drivers, frameworks, applications, and optimization
  • Design and develop drivers, middleware, framework, and application components on embedded platforms
  • Create applications for ADI-DSPs, ARM-based ASSP, and other processors/controllers interfacing with ADI components
  • Program microcontrollers, including bootloader development and board bring-up
  • Support firmware update testing and deployment; debug low-level hardware interfaces (e.g., USB, SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, GPIO, ADC/DACs)
  • Create and review documentation and implement development processes as needed
  • Review requirements and specifications
  • Work on connectivity (e.g., BT/WiFi) to develop interfaces for new devices

Subfamily Description

Software (SWA) involves defining, specifying, and allocating requirements from various sources using systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). It includes transforming use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional descriptions. SWA covers the specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of software (e.g., device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to defined requirements and architecture. It also includes establishing and maintaining Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices in software development projects, continuously integrating infrastructure tools and systems.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
  • Perform routine assignments within standard procedures and practices with regular supervision to achieve objectives and meet deadlines (e.g., planning, designing, and executing tasks according to given specifications, completing design documentation, integrating subsystems with guidance, etc.).
  • Receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others and use own knowledge and existing procedures to solve standard problems (e.g., performing tasks related to different software development phases such as software requirement specification, feasibility, and cost studies).
  • Analyze, design, develop, and test products/services/improvements/bug resolutions for integrated hardware/software systems according to customer requirements.
  • Resolve customer trouble tickets, diagnose complex problems/issues (e.g., hardware, software, or a combination), and provide resolutions or recommend corrective actions. Plan technical requirements based on customer needs.
  • Develop controlled production releases for software/hardware (e.g., main and update releases, service packages, maintenance updates, and customer design engineering).
  • Define product hardware/software evolutions by creating and releasing documentation, managing change control, and notifying suppliers and customers.
  • Retain technical and design knowledge for assigned products and technologies and provide training to lower support teams (Tier 2 and Tier 3).
  • Apply and maintain quality standards and participate in process and tools evolutions and improvements.
  • Apply the Software Care process, especially in emergency cases, to contribute to rapid problem resolution.
