The Process Assistant job is crucial to the smooth running of the Amazon Fulfillment Centers, which are mostly manual and involve a massive team of associates. The job focuses on coaching and coaching associates to meet the expectations of customers by adhering to the standard working practices, with a focus on the safety of employees and ensuring quality. The Process Assistant monitors that the shift is productive, keeps track of the quality of work, and is responsible for constant improvement in a dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Shift management: Control the daily operations of shifts, which include administrative tasks like managing associate schedules and allocating tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
- Training and monitoring: Help associates meet productivity, as well as quality and safety standards and provide real-time feedback that can improve performance.
- Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of your shift, spotting problems and developing action plans to fix any gaps and to maintain the highest standards.
- Problem Solution: Monitor order count as well as manage queues that solve problems and address operational bottlenecks in order to ensure that orders are fulfilled on time.
- Training and development: Create and implement plans for training to help associates improve their skills in fostering a culture that encourages constant learning and continuous improvement.
- Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular 4M (Man Material, Machine Method) and 5S (Sort, Set in Order Shine, Standardise, Continue to) audits to make sure that workstations comply with safety and operational requirements.
- Leader Support: substitute for the Area Manager if needed and take on additional duties to ensure the continuity of operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Writing, speaking or reading English.
- Communication skills are essential to be able to interact effectively with leaders and colleagues.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Basic understanding of the operational process as well as team leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient proficiency Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership position in a warehouse or fulfilment centre.
- A good understanding of process improvement techniques such as 5S or 4M.
- Excellent problem-solving skills as well as an ability to formulate decisions based on data.
