About the ABB Global Early Talent Program
The Global Early Talent Program – Information Systems (GETP-IS) aims to develop ABB’s future leaders through structured learning, international exposure, and practical experience. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of ABB’s Process Automation Business Area while collaborating with our Information Systems Function. This program presents a unique opportunity to enhance technical, leadership, and business skills through three distinct assignments in various roles across different locations.
This position reports to the IS Manager and involves on-site work in Bangalore. AB

ABB Global Early Talent Program Key Responsibilities
Technical & Project Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of technology solutions and services.
- Engage in multiple assignments across various regions to cultivate intercultural competencies and a global outlook.
- Participate in formal training initiatives, including the Leadership Challenge Program and other functional training.
- Acquire practical experience in data analysis, business issue identification, and process optimization.
- Evaluate data from diverse sources and use critical thinking to propose technical and business solutions.
- Aid in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and assessing impacts for IS solution delivery.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leaders and executives.
- Collaborate closely with global teams to coordinate and contribute to significant IS projects.
Structured Career Development
The program consists of three rotations:
- Nine-month home country assignment – Familiarize yourself with ABB’s business operations.
- Six-month international assignment – Experience working in another country, enhancing your global perspective and professional network.
- Nine-month return to home country – Deepen your understanding of ABB’s business and your specific role.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in a leadership competency development journey, equipping them for future career advancements within ABB.

Who We Are Looking For In ABB Global Early Talent Program
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably at the Master’s level) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Systems Management, or a related discipline.
- Expected graduation in May/June 2025.
- Strong understanding of current technology trends and disruptive technologies.
- A growth mindset with a strong desire for learning and self-enhancement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and learn from various experiences and professionals within the IT function.
- Willingness to relocate to Bangalore and undertake international assignments.
- Must possess valid Indian work authorization and should not require visa sponsorship for future employment with ABB.
