As an Intern/Trainee within the Risk Advisory team, you will engage in IT General Controls (ITGC) Reviews, IT Internal Audits, and Controls Testing. Your role will involve collaborating with clients to evaluate and fortify their internal controls, ensuring compliance with industry norms and best practices.
Primary Duties:
- Conduct IT General Controls (ITGC) Reviews to identify risks associated with IT policies, change management, user access, IT operations, and data recovery.
- Execute internal audits and assist in controls testing to confirm the maintenance of robust IT governance frameworks within organizations.
- Implement and assess industry standards, frameworks, and compliance requirements, including ISO 27001, NIST, SOX, and IFC.
- Support IT risk assessment methodologies and apply them throughout the assessment lifecycle.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate walkthrough meetings to gather insights and prepare assessment reports.
- Document audit findings and deliver recommendations that address underlying issues and their impact on the organization.
- Collaborate within a team-oriented and virtual environment as necessary.
- Assist with client deliverables, status reporting, and project documentation in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate complex IT security and risk management issues to stakeholders, including senior management.
