As a Process Data Associate Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

Data Management & Analytics
  • Analyzing production and operational data sourced from systems like PI (Plant Information) and EC (Enterprise Connect) to uncover trends and insights.
  • Ensuring data security, entitlement, and regulatory compliance in line with Shell’s internal and external standards.
  • Preparing KPI reports and dashboards to deliver timely business insights.
  • Automating data processing and visualization using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Python to enhance both efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identifying production issues and trends in deferment, addressing discrepancies, and contributing to process improvements.
Process Standardization & Documentation
  • Creating and maintaining process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to uphold consistency across teams.
  • Enhancing existing workflows and embracing automation where feasible to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Providing insights and recommendations for process enhancements informed by data-driven analysis.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Interacting with business stakeholders to grasp data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Preparing and presenting clear business reports and presentations to internal teams and management.
  • Taking responsibility for documenting meeting minutes, action items, and key takeaways from business discussions, ensuring their follow-through.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data analysts, and IT professionals, to foster efficiency and innovation.
Continuous Learning & Improvement
  • Staying informed on the latest developments in data analytics, AI, and digital transformation within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Proactively acquiring new tools and technologies to bolster data processing capabilities.

What We’re Looking For In Shell Associate Engineer Hiring

Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills
  • Recent graduates with a university degree in Engineering (preferably in Oil & Gas, Data Science, or related fields).
  • Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R for data analysis and automation.
