Role Overview
A Software Engineer Associate is responsible for the development, design and implementation of technical solutions that are custom-designed for Deltek products. The job requires close collaboration with senior engineers and technical consultants in the implementation of systems design, setup, integrations, and automation for global clients.
The entry-level job focuses on acquiring advanced engineering techniques, following established methods and contributing to the top-quality delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain customised client-specific modifications as well as integrations and automation solutions under the direction of senior management.
- Perform development tasks as assigned within the timeframes and effort estimations.
- Follow the coding guidelines, SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and security standards.
- Work effectively with teams across the globe, including consultants, developers, and project managers, in addition to cloud services.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging. Also, you can test debugging to ensure that the solution is of high quality.
- Utilise AI-powered tools and methods throughout the entire development process for increased efficiency.
- Always keep up-to-date with new technology, Deltek product features, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related technical field (final-year students are also eligible).
Expertise: Entry-level candidates with experience from academic projects such as internships, lab work or contributions to open-source projects.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of at the very least one programming language: Python, JavaScript (Node.js preferred), Java, or C/C+.
- A solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures and the fundamental concepts of computer science.
- Exposure to web-based applications, APIs, integrations or automation via coursework or projects.
- A familiarity with development tools such as IDEs, Git version control and the basic techniques for testing/debugging.
- Written and verbal English ability to communicate in technical discussions.
Additional Advantages: Hands-on exposure to tools for AI/LLM, rapid development using AI, or AI-assisted design.
