Role Overview

The Web Designer position requires a combination of technical and creative skills. The designer will develop wireframes, layouts, and design elements, as well as ensure the smooth transfer of designs into a responsive front-end code. A thorough understanding of visual hierarchy, design composition and colours and usability is crucial for creating captivating user experiences. The environment fosters creative thinking, focus on detail and flexibility in a rapid-paced remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create visually captivating web interfaces with Figma that are in line with user-experience principles and the project’s goals.
• Convert static design ideas into fluid, pixel-perfect HTML and CSS layouts.
• Utilise adaptive design strategies that ensure smooth functionality across devices, including tablets, desktops, and smartphones.
• Collaboration with product, development, marketing, and development team members to ensure that design objectives align with the brand’s identity and functional specifications.
• Make wireframes, mockups and clickable prototypes in order to convey concepts of design effectively.
• Improve user interfaces continually by analysing feedback, Usability testing, feedback analysis, and data-driven enhancements.
• Keep design consistency across every page by contributing to design libraries that can be reused Style guides, style guides or a design system.
• Conduct quality tests on the design deliverables you receive to ensure compliance with accessibility standards in loading performance, load speed, and consistency of the design across browsers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in Figma to create wireframes, UI prototyping, mockups and other designs that precisely reflect the desired user flow.
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 for creating responsive and cross-browser-compatible designs.
• An understanding of basic design concepts that focus on typography, colour systems, alignment, and layouts that are user-centric.
• Experience in implementing responsive frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS to improve capacity and maintainability.
• Experience with JavaScript basic concepts to enhance interaction and design adaptability.
• Basic understanding of Git or similar version control systems to effectively collaborate with developers.
• Effective communication skills are required to communicate concepts, communicate the design process, and comprehend the requirements of a project.
• An openness to feedback, a keen eye on details, and a desire to create user-friendly experiences.
