About the Competition: Mobility X Ideathon

Mobility X, hosted by Aptiv Abilities Network, serves as an opportunity for nimble and influential minds. This renowned ideathon focuses on the concept of accessibility in urban mobility. It will inspire students to come up with innovative solutions that provide seamless and accessible mobility for everyone in the city. Participants are able to develop new ideas in areas such as IoT, AI/ML, V2X, as well as connected mobility. Mentorship is given by technology experts from Aptiv.

Who Can Participate?

• Teams should consist of a minimum of 3 students.
• Eligibility applies to B.E./B.Tech (Third and Fourth Years) and Dual Degree Integrated (Fourth and Fifth Year) Full-time M.Tech./M.E. (Second Year).
• All engineering specialisations and branches are invited to join.
• Make cross-disciplinary and cross-college teams to gain a broader perspective.

Ideathon Format and Rounds

Mobility X is played out over three thrilling rounds:

1. Detailed Summary Submission:
Teams are required to submit an eight to ten-slide PowerPoint or PDF presentation with the following topics in mind:

• Executive summary and problem statement: The mobility barrier must be defined, including the type of obstacle to be overcome, who should be the targeted users and the scope of positive impacts.
• Implementation and feasibility: Current system architecture, a roadmap with phases and mitigation strategies for challenges.
• Accessibility and user-centric design: Show the inclusion of users with different abilities by creating personas or travel maps.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Identify stakeholders and define pathways to sustainable collaboration.
• A Summary of the Solution and Call To Action: Highlight the advantages of the solution and describe the support or partnership required.
• Risk Management and Privacy: Take care to address risk concerns and the privacy of data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• The impact and the scalability determine the positive economic and societal impact, as well as scaling strategies across all regions.
• Innovative Technology and a Technical Approach Present unique aspects of the solution as well as technology stacks and differentiators.

Visual elements that are strong, such as diagrams or workflow charts, improve the clarity and impact of each submission.

2. Virtual Presentation:
The top 10 teams will be given the opportunity to present their ideas live before a senior jury with 20 minutes to present the pitch, and 10 minutes of questions and answers. Teams are able to incorporate feedback from the jury or showcase the latest developments and show prototypes or demos that are working to make the greatest impact.

3. Grand Finale at Aptiv Bangalore:
The top three teams are taken to Aptiv’s Bangalore office for a face-to-face display. Finalists present their ideas and concepts to Aptiv’s management. The judges select the winners by technical quality, feasibility, social impact and the quality of service.

Attractive Rewards and Career Opportunities

• The winner will receive: INR 75,000 in cash, a certificate of award, and a direct Pre-Placement Interview (PPI) chance.
• First Second Place: INR 50,000, PPI, and certificate.
• Second Runner-Up: INR 25,000, a certificate and PPI.
• Team Top 10: Opportunity to attend a pre-placement interview for selected students and branded gifts worth Rs 5,000, and participation certificates at every stage.
