The Position of Performance Tester – Fresher is a fantastic chance for those looking to start a career in software testing as well as performance engineering. The job involves designing, executing and maintaining performance testing strategies for various enterprise-grade software. Candidates must receive training or exposure to tools for performing tests, as well as a basic knowledge of the related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation, design and execution of test scripts for performance using JMeter.
• Participate in stress, load and volume testing under the supervision of knowledgeable team members.
• Understand and analyse test outcomes to determine trends in performance resources, resource limitations, and scalability issues.
• Assistance in setting testing settings, data processing and monitoring the performance of applications.
• Experience hands-on using APM tools like Elastic APM, Grafana, and Datadog to track performance.
• Work with developers of software, QA testers, and DevOps teams to model real-world user load.
• Help with recording the performance metrics, bottleneck analysis and suggestions for improvement in performance.
• Conduct basic functional tests and create test cases as part of the test preparation process.
• Conform to the normal processes as well as internal controls and reporting requirements while ensuring the quality of your tests.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate must have an analytical mind, technical curiosity and the ability to collaborate in a highly dynamic engineering work setting.

• Training or experience in the field using JMeter or comparable test tools for performance.
• Be aware of the types of tests, such as Load, Stress, Spike or Endurance test.
• Experience with Cloud as well as Infrastructure concepts like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes as well and Apache Tomcat.
• Basic understanding regarding relational databases and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and profiling by using tools like Elastic APM as well as JVM profilers.
• Solid fundamentals in scripting or programming that are taught in Java, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Experimentation with automation testing frameworks, such as Selenium using Java or Rest Assured or TestNG.
• A basic understanding of API testing with Postman or other tools.
• Knowledge of or experience in academic studies with Jira Confluence, Jira other tools to manage versions, like Git, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Bonus benefit for candidates who are aware of Salesforce’s structure and the Salesforce testing ecosystem.

Educational Qualification

• The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or equivalent education with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar subject.
• Candidates should have completed relevant courses or have a certification in performance or manual tests.
