Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a group of data scientists to complete data-driven projects that drive innovation and provide valuable insights to boost business growth.
• Use statistical tools to find processes that are inefficient, conduct analysis of the root causes, and assist in making data-driven decisions.
• Use methods drawn from machine learning, statistics or business intelligence to gain valuable insights from large data sets.
• Complete data collection, analysis and visualisation tasks for the assigned projects, while ensuring conformity with the goals of the team.
• Conduct tests and validations to help achieve the goals of the project while adhering to established procedures and timeframes.
• Note, analyse and interpret data using standard procedures, and then share the results with team members to facilitate review.
• Create reports, presentations and other documentation that can be utilised for peer reviews, business events, or patent applications if needed.
• Contribute to the most important projects through ongoing research and analysis of data, regularly updating the progress and issues.
• Establish and maintain relations with stakeholders within the company and with stakeholders, by providing standardised reports to convey information effectively.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related area is required. Work experience equivalent or demonstrable proficiency may also suffice.
• Experience: 2 years or less experience in databases, data analytics or statistical analysis, or an equivalent discipline. Fresh graduates with solid academic credentials or experience in related fields are invited to apply.
• Certifications: The certifications for programming languages like SQL, Python, or similar are highly sought-after.

Required Skills

• Experience on data analysis techniques, quality of data and techniques for data visualisation.
• Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for business intelligence in making dashboards and other visualisations.
• Experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes as well as the notions of data warehouse.
• Experience with programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL, to manipulate data and perform analysis.
• Understanding of statistical techniques, Machine learning, statistical methods and business intelligence concepts.
• Exposure to Agile methods for collaboration and project execution.
• Expertise in data modelling as well as management methods to guarantee high-quality data.
• Experience working with SAS or other similar statistical software is an advantage.
