Job Responsibilities
The Software Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining cutting-edge software. Principal responsibilities include:
- Create robust, scalable apps with Core Java, React JS, and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
- Installing solutions and deployment using cloud platforms like PCF, Azure or GCP..
- Utilising databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, as well as MongoDB to ensure effective data management.
- Implementing the principles of Agile to provide high-quality code in a highly-paced work environment.
- Testing using tools such as Selenium to ensure the reliability of applications and their performance.
- Utilising tools for managing and building, like Jira, Jenkins, Sonar, Git, and Maven, to streamline the process of development.
- Implementing secure programming practices with the knowledge about JWT, OAUTH, or Ping for authorisation and authentication.
- Working with teams of cross-functionality across the world to create creative solutions.
- Being informed of industry trends, specifically about microservices and design patterns, to enhance application architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must have the following technical abilities and certifications:
- Expertise with Core Java to support backend development.
- Experience hands-on using ReactJS to create interactive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Expertise in Spring as well as Spring Boot frameworks to create enterprise-grade software.
- A familiarity with microservices architecture and their implementation.
- Experience using Cloud platform (PCF, Azure, or GCP) and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB).
- Understanding of testing frameworks, specifically Selenium, for quality assurance.
- Experience with Agile methods and tools like Jira, Jenkins, Sonar, Git, and Maven.
- Basic knowledge regarding design patterns as well as security protocols, such as JWT, OAUTH or Ping..
- A bachelor level degree is required in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related area.
- Three years or more of relevant experience in software development.
