Job Overview
As an Software Engineering Associate within the Futures Technology team, you’ll be in charge of the onboarding process for clients of our trading platforms for electronic transactions. This position offers an unique chance to collaborate with vendors, clients trading desks, as well as the internal teams responsible for platform engineering in a dynamic front-office environment. The role will guide customers from beginning to end of production to ensure a seamless process for onboarding while improving the processes and tools which drive our operations.
This job is perfect for an engineer who is technically proficient with a love of problem-solving as well as client interaction and providing professional solutions in the global financial system. Key Responsibilities
- client onboarding: Collaboration with external and internal stakeholders to oversee the entire the process of onboarding clients, starting with gathering requirements all the way to production deployment.
- Analyzing Requirements: work closely with clients to fully understand their needs, assess specifications and ensure that they are aligned with our trading platforms for electronic transactions.
- Configuration and deployment: Configure the client for specific settings, co-ordinate testing and oversee deployment processes to ensure a smooth transition.
- Process Optimization: Improve and streamline the onboarding process, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and satisfaction of clients.
- Participation of Stakeholders: Establish and maintain relations with vendors, trading desks and engineering teams for platforms to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions.
- Change Management: Control the process of change including capacity and throughput management to ensure scalable and reliable onboarding solutions.
- Tech Support: Support hands-on during deployment and testing as well as troubleshooting issues to ensure that the deployment is flawless.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or in a related field.
- Experience: Experienced track record of client onboarding for trading platforms that use electronic technology, with practical experience in front-office setting.
- FIX Protocol Knowledge: A solid understanding of the FIX protocol, which includes FIX certification and test experiences.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux environments.
- A solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- A good understanding of connectivity TCP/IP, networks, and firewalls.
- The knowledge of programming or scripting (e.g., Python, Java or shell scripting).
- exposure to asset classes: Experience with asset classes like Equities Futures, Options, Futures and FX.
- Analytics Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on the delivery of flexible solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skilled in writing communication, along with an established ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholder.
- Needed Skills: Experience using software release and system for controlling version (e.g. Git) is a benefit.
