As Desktop Support Administrator – L1 at Wipro, you will play an important role in providing technical support at desktop, IT infrastructure and application level. This is the ideal entry level position for someone who wants to get started in IT and get hands on troubleshooting skills, system support and client support experience. You will thrive in the hustle and bustle of daily operations as you cover technical troubleshooting, keep on top of service requests, and uphold quality to help our clients feel cared.

Key Responsibilities

You will provide first and second line support to customers as and when required. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Timely Ticket Resolution: Responding to tickets raised by clients through IMS,email,chat and ensuring that the tickets are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Service Request Mgmt: Process service requests with stringent quality checks as per customer requirements.
  • Infrastructure: Serve as a guardian of the client’s network, servers, systems, storage, and other IT infrastructure, meaning keeping them up to date, organized and healthy.
  • Ticket Monitoring: Number of tickets (dial home, email, chat, or IMS) raised, tickets solutions meet the resolution time as per the policy.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform detailed root cause analysis on repeat issues and produce action plans to avoid recurrence.
  • Critical Response Support: Respond rapidly to high-priority trouble tickets or service requests to reduce downtime and avoid network disruption.
  • Software and Hardware Maintenance: Install, and set the client site up for software and hardware as per client requirement and request.
  • Adherence to Timelines: Timely adherence to all timelines lead to zero escalations and happy clients.
  • User Access: Allow user and application access as requested by customer to maintain effective role operations.
  • Ticket Tracking: Track all accepted tickets to completion: track per customer’s resolution times.
  • Data Backup and Logs: Backup at regular intervals critical data, logs and management resources to prevent data loss and to maintain the quality of your hosted solution.
  • Onsite Coordination: Work with on-site teams to solve complex technical problems and facilitate on-time client services.
  • Chatbot Log Review: Audit chatbot logs and ensure all requests and problems are addressed in a timely manner.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualifications: Graduate/Post Graduate in any stream (B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc, M.Sc or equivalent).
